Both were computer market analysts. Courtney Smith divorced Walter Smith when she was 7 years old. She lived with both her parents in different periods of time. Jennifer, her older sister is an ad executive. In 1985, she graduated from Tamalpais High School, Mill Valley in California. Also, she was a member of Ensemble Theater Company of Mill Valley when she was in the high school.
