Kellie Martin (born Kellie Marien) is well-known American actor. She's appeared in a variety of TV and film series, including "Christy", the drama about a young woman named Christy Huddleston. In addition, she is famous for her role as the main character in her own Hailey Dean Mystery television series. Martin began her acting career when she was seven. The aunt of her mother, who worked as the nanny of actor Michael Landon's children, helped her land one small part on the television series Father Murphy. She began acting professionally when she graduated from Yale University. This led to her landing a variety of roles both in the television and film industries. Martin, besides acting, she is also a skilled photographer and dancer. As a mother to two kids, she has been named the national spokesperson for Lupus. Martin has promoted awareness of this disease ever since her younger sister passed away from the illness at age 19.
